Regardless of who I want to win this election, I get choked up seeing pictures of people waiting to vote. Lines and lines of people waiting to cast their vote. I’m 51 years old, and I don’t remember people caring as much about their vote as they do this year. I live in a tiny town and I stood in line for half and hour to vote. Unprecedented.
No matter who wins this election, I am glad that the American citizenry has been (for the most part) shaken out of our complacency. It’s that committment, that caring, that passion that is going to move us forward. That is my prayer.
