don’t diss what you don’t know

Just finished transcribing the first of three interviews with young women in an urban bilingual high school. They are incredible young women. I swear I’m going to hit the next person who disses urban kids. Yeah, there are troubled kids in urban areas, but there are also hard working, focused, resilient kids too.
